Stockholm to host festival of Iranian movies

TEHRAN – Sixteen Iranian short, documentary and feature-length movies will go on screen at the Iranian 2016 Film Festival, which will be held in the two Swedish cities of Uppsala and Stockholm on September 24 and 25.

“Oblivion Season” directed by Abbas Rafei, “ Nahid” by Ida Panahandeh, “The Girl’s House” by Shahram Shah-Hosseini and “Wednesday, May 9” by Vahid Jalilvand are among the films.

The festival is organized every year by Yari, an Uppsala-based charity organization that helps street children in Iran to go to school and also to raise funds for the construction of schools and libraries for children.
